Wellness Center

The Wellness Center was developed for students experiencing mental health challenges that have impacted their overall functioning. The purposes of the PWC are to provide targeted short-term* Social-emotional services while still providing academic support and pathways that lead to graduation.

The PWC's approach includes:

  • Providing psychosocial interventions to students presenting internalizing emotional challenges that are often associated with mental health diagnoses and/or life experiences.
  • Providing pscyhoeducation that results in learning how to respond to and regulate mental health symptoms in proactive and healthy ways.
  • Attending the PWC is voluntary.  The student and guardian(s) agreements are required. This link displays the student and guardian "Commitment Forms" needed for entrance to the PWC:   24-25 Pathways Contract, Website
  • The PWC recognizes the tremendous effort it takes to work on our individual mental health and recognizes the     different readiness levels each of us presents. This is why the voluntary commitment to attending the PWC is so important.
  • The PWC is very transparent in ensuring that all who commit to attending and working at the PWC are aware that mental health is our top priority and that this requires all of us to engage in our own individual self-care, self-awareness, and emotional regulation. We are committed to creating a learning environment that is emotionally safe for all to learn and grow.

*Short-term:  the PWC has set the goal as 2 semesters but continues to individualize for each student
